Beach Essentails | Summer 2013

Hello Bloggerettos!

Today I went to the beach as the sun was shining and........my mum offered to drive (who can pass up on a chauffer?) When I was packing all my things to go I thought why not do a beach essentials? So that is what I am going to do! Enjoy!

So my first essential is so obvious it is a beach bag. I actually have lost mine so my converted bag is a backpack from TK Max (£10.) It made the 'almost perfect' beach bag as it was roomy and had lots of little pockets to put bits and pieces! It is from the make 'Dakine' Which I may be naïve in thinking is perhaps Dutch? I don't know. It is Grey with Blue and Yellow tribal print and is actually easier to carry and pack!

My next essential is my flat handle hair brush from Primark (£1) at one pound this hairbrush was a steal! I love it! It is great after a little swim in the sea to detangle the mess the salt water does to your hair. It is pink, girly and big - great for when you have thick hair like mine. It is so cheap and a must-have in your beach bag!

 

The Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Body Butter, I recently raved about this in a first impressions blog post (Read Here) but basically to sum it up it is creamy, luxurious, light to wear and has the most amazing scent ever! For a more in depth review see link above! Definitely a Summer 2013 hit!

Sun lotion, sun lotion, sun lotion. If you are Edward  Cullen skinned like me you'll know that the population of us, so pale we are almost transparent, burn and burn badly. That means that sadly for me, I have to apply that much sun protection that I don't tan either. A tip however for paler skin that burns easy: Use children's sun protection because 99% of the time it is water-resistant and a much higher SPF. I use Nivea Kids Factor 50 Water-Resistant. It is a spray out a bottle - much easier to apply and does protect you from the sun!

                                       

My Zazie Round Soft Hairbrush has to be my next summer essential it isn't so good when your hair is wet but when it is dry it makes it fluffy, shiny and volumising - basically the perfect beach babe hair. It is black and doesn't come in any other colours (which is a downside) but it does what it should and compliments my flat handle hair brush perfectly ---- The perfect hair duo for summer!

My headphones weren't expensive and I always buy cheap headphones due to the fact I think they break easy and especially at the beach - sand and water - a deadly combo for headphones. I think cheap ones and mine, in my opinion were not that cheap (£11), have lasted me seven months which is a long time for me (I usually lose them) Perfect for some summer tunes or the occasional (or not so occasional but frequent) YouTube video.

My Phone - Perfect for music, videos and taking some cheeky wee blog pictures! Isn't that perfect?

A mirror - Perfect for touching up on some makeup which isn't so summer proof! And of course my makeup bag, look out or a more in depth look into my face-bag, A new blog post will be out soon!

 

 

And Obviously the last Three I have to put together - Bikini or Swimwear, Towel and Flip-flops or sandals. EVERYONES SUMMER ESSENTIALS!!!
